What does ‘Fully Managed’ mean?

This simply means we take care of all maintenance of your WordPress website. We will ensure the WordPress core software and associated plugins are up to date, performance is optimal and everything is backed up. Our goal is to completely manage your WordPress website so you can concentrate on running your business.

We can also offer this service for Shopify stores.

Do you provide SSL certificates free?

Yes we do. Security is at the forefront of everything we do, which is why we don’t charge extra for SSL certificate installation and maintenance. An SSL certificate installed on your website shows the connection is secure and all data transferred is encrypted. It’s extremely important to have your website traffic encrypted if you have a eCommerce website or have customers submitting information via forms.

Google also provide a search ranking boost to websites that implement SSL certificates in order to encrypt traffic. As a result, it’s a good idea to use SSL certificates for any website – you can learn more by clicking here.

Do you do eCom and Shopify stores?

Yes, we own and manage many stores on both WooCommerce for WordPress and Shopify.

Do you update my website on my behalf?

Absolutely! Most customers choose not to update content themselves. Minor changes are free of charge in our monthly Premium plan. We provide quotations in advance of starting any larger/more complex changes.

Can I update my site? Will you help me?

Generally, it is faster and easier to ask us to make the changes by sending us an email. We will typically enable our customers to be confident with creating and updating content within WordPress if required. For some people this could be as little as 30 minutes, for others it can be longer – we have different approaches for various levels of ability. Normally, it is better for you to focus on your business and let us manage your website. After all, you do not close your shop to work on your car!

Will my site be mobile friendly?

Yes, we do this often for new WordPress hosting customers who have an existing website that wasn’t designed and/or optimised for viewing on mobile devices.

Considering on average more than 50% of website visits are from mobile devices, it’s essential your website is able to be viewed easily on a smaller screen. In addition, having a mobile-friendly website is now a major factor that Google takes into consideration for search rankings when a search is performed on a mobile device.

Do I own the domain name?

If you transfer to our hosting, you still own all rights to the domain and content. If you use the special offer, we will own the name until your 12 month contract ends.

What is web maintenance?

There are two aspects to maintenance required :

  • to keep a website’s functions working properly, and
  • to keep the content accurate and up to date.

Without server maintenance and regular updates to the software, you run an increased risk of being hacked, spammed or your site being used to spam or hack other sites. Over 90% of internet email traffic is spam The repair cost can run into hundreds, or even thousands of dollars. Your business reputation will also suffer as clients go elsewhere.

Content maintenance is required to ensure you meet your legal obligations (Privacy policy for instance) and to ensure customers have up to date contact details, offers and other business and sales related information.

Do you do logos, graphics and brochures?

Yes, we do. We can supply branding materials ranging from logos to tee shirts, videos and posters.

Can you do Facebook ads?

Yes, we can do all forms of digital and social marketing for you.

Can you post to social media for me?

Yes, we offer a posting service to post to your social media profiles every day. The best strategy is to post 3x per day. We will find relevant content and do this for you.

Deadlines & Deliverables:

Jam88 will respond to all maintenance requests from you within 24 hours on weekdays, and often weekends, via email, with a confirmation that the request was received, and an estimated completion date for each action item in the request. Maintenance requests received after 2:00pm may not be completed until the next business day unless prior arrangements have been made.

How do I test my website performance?

The initial website response time and page loading times are taken into consideration when Google ranks your website. Website performance is subjective depending on where someone is located, the speed of their internet connection, their Internet Service Provider and of course maintenance, hosting and tuning of the website.

We recommend testing your website with the following test services:

The test results from these services are reasonably self explanatory, essentially you want to aim for a page load time of less than 2 seconds, an A or B grade and a overall rating above 80%.
